BronegmCarTech schreef:Video: Porsche recreates Semper Vivus, world’s first fully-functional hybrid
From the very beginning of the 20th century, the name Porsche has been associated with pioneering innovations in automotive engineering. In 1900, Ferdinand Porsche, the founding father of Porsche AG, created the world’s first fully-functional hybrid car in the world, the ‘Semper Vivus’ (‘always alive’).
In a long 4-year project by the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart the Semper Vivus has been recreated some 111-years after Ferdinand Porsche’s ground breaking innovation. Porsche will use the Semper Vivus to commemorate Porsche’s dedication to ground-breaking hybrid technology at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
