Kia has a pretty bring presence at this year’s 2010 SEMA Show including two customized versions of the 2011 Kia Sportage crossover. The Korean automaker teamed up with fashion and lifestyle magazine Antenna to create two stylish and highly customized Sportages created by Antenna for “The Duel,” which are aimed at recreational enthusiasts and busy, on-the-go business professionals.

“In addition to being a functional and value-packed CUV, the all-new Sportage was designed to offer today’s consumers the latest in technologies, convenience and safety features, and above all style,” said Michael Sprague, vice president, marketing & communications, KMA. “Antenna’s ‘Duel’ Sportage concept vehicles artistically take the CUVs capabilities to the next level by adding even more style, technology and capability to specifically appeal to today’s active and professional males.”

One of the Sportage concept is nicknamed “Work” while the other is known as “Play.”

Jaguar, Volkswagen and even Pagani use the ‘R’ badge to designate high-performance versions of their vehicles. Following a similar lead, Kia is exploring the future production of visually appealing body kit upgrades and has unveiled the Kia Forte Type R Concept at the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Joining forces once again with Kinetic Motorsports (which also worked on the Kia Forte Hybrid Concept), Kia took a Forte Koup and added aggressive exterior panels, including front fenders, rocker panels and rear quarter panels.

The Kia Forte Koup Type R rides on BBS RG 18-inch forged aluminum alloy wheels and racing-inspired tires and suspension components. On the inside, the Forte Koup Type R gets custom seat/door treatments and safety restraints reflect its sporty nature, a short throw shift kit with Kinetic gear shift knob, carbon inlays and a dampened composite fiber disc clutch.
